6. Propane- Take more propane for propane powered lanterns and cooking units like camping stoves and table top grills.

7. Tarps- Tarps are good for putting up your tents on, tying to trees to make a rain guard, lying on the ground to create a play place for younger children and just about anything else.

8. Rope- Slim nylon rope is constantly handy whether you are making a clothes line to dry swim suits and towels or attaching a tarp up to a tree. Rope will constantly be effective.

9. Matches/lighters- Don’t leave home without loads of lighters or matches or both. Camping is no good time when you are unable to start a fire.

10. Shoes- Ensure that you have the correct footwear...miserable feet make for an unhappy trip. You will most likely want to pack things like sandals, good walking shoes, and hiking boots. In addition pack the proper type of socks for each pair of shoes.

11. Clothes- You are not likely to forget to pack clothes but make sure that you take the correct kind of clothing. Check out the weather before you go so that you can be ready with the proper type of clothes. Rain coats are always a great idea just in case. Plenty of mountainous camping spots can be damp or rainy in the morning so it is a wise strategy to always have some form of rain gear packed. And, often bring extras of everything because you never know what could happen throughout the day that will need an outfit change.

12. Food- Again you are not going to not bring food, but don't forget to bring things to eat that doesn’t have to be cooked in the event that you run out of propane or can’t make a fire.
