Blackheads are caused by a build-up of excess oils in the skin that collect in the skin follicles.

They are usually black or yellow bumps that come up on the face and body.

They are small in size but can be upsetting for men and women who suffer with them quite a lot.

But there are ways in which these blackheads can be reduced and removed.

The first thing you need to do is create your own personal skin care regime and stick to it.

It is known that it takes an average of 21 days to form a routine so don’t give up after a few days or a week. Keep at it.

Here are a few tips for your skin care regime to give you a kick start in blotting out these annoying blackheads.

•Using a face wash is a good start and this needs to be used at least twice a day so once in the morning and then again at night after any make-up and creams have been removed.

•Exfoliating the skin on a regular basis is also a great idea because it gives the skin a good clean out and stops new spots and blackheads forming. Try using a scrub along with the exfoliating lotion to get deeper into the pores.

•Toners for the skin will close the pores off and stop oil from building up but do not use toners that contain alcohol as this can irritate sensitive skin.

•Face peels are another great way to remove blackheads and dead skin and you can have these on while you are in the bath or shower and then peel off just before you get out.

•The final product that you should then use on your skin is a moisturiser. Use a good quality one that is suitable for your skin.
