The Importance of the Holy month of Ramadan:
The importance of the month of Ramadan can be taken from the verse of Quran, which says, “The month of Ramadan is the one in which the Quran was revealed as guidance for mankind, and as clear signs that show the right way and distinguish between right and wrong.”
As it is the most blessed month in the Islamic calendar for a Muslim, there are a number of benefits that are related with it,
• Reading and Reciting of the Holy Quran:
The holy month reminds each Muslim to be submissive in his ways of life and try to live according to the teachings of Quran and Sunnah. The Holy Book is not written by any human being and is therefore no ordinary book. It reflects all that the religion has to teach us and is therefore a complete compilation of submission and purity, ideal for a Muslim in all aspects of his life.
• Learning about the Wisdom of Quran:
People who want to be taught in the light of the Holy Book should learn Quran online with the help of the tutors and proper Islamic scholars. It is not a scientific, geographic or a book of psychology, but instead it is a complete compilation of the right and wrong for all the generations and one must read the book with the purest of heart to know about the ways through which Allah has guided you.
• A Book with No Errors:
Since the commandments, which have been put down in the Quran are the actual saying of the Creator and the Sustainer, there is no mistake in the book. A mathematician and a theologian, Gary Miller, tried to read the Quran to find out about the falsehood of the book, as he found the mistakes in Bible.
He expected that he would find a number of points from the book, which talked about sands and deserts and through those errors in Quran; he could get the Muslims to convert to Christianity, but he was wrong. Even the book, written 14 centuries ago, had no errors; instead, he was amazed to see that:
• There are a whole Surah in Quran that was named after Mary (Hazrat Mariam), may peace be upon her, and was full of respect.
• There was no Surah named after “Fatimah”(the prophet’s daughter) nor “Aishah” (the Prophet’s wife), may Allah (God) be pleased with both of them.
• The name of Jesus (Peace Be Upon Him) was mentioned in the Qur’an 25 times
After reading the miracles and the trustfulness of Islam, Dr. Gary Miller embraced Islam and changed his name to Abdul-Ahad Omar.
In summation, Quran is a ray of light for each human being, whether he is a Muslim or not. Today, a number of other Non-Muslims are also converting to Islam after reading the teachings of the most sacred religion in the world.
