There are things called “buzzwords” which are used by commercial printing companies and practically any other big companies during meetings and for taglines. Basically, these words are mostly technical and complex words which are used either to impress or merely to give an impression of knowing more than what you actually know. With postcard printing and commercial printing, people do not usually use these so-called “buzzwords”, but people do use a good number of words often enough to be taken note of. These words, often discreetly inserted into postcard templates or posters, are normally simple and common words, but nevertheless you should think about including these words in your prints, if only to gain a bit of improvement in terms of impact and effectiveness. Let us focus on three words/phrases.

Guaranteed. One thing that people like reading on their photo postcards, full color postcards, and any other custom postcards is the word “guaranteed”. It is natural for people to want some assurance on practically everything they are paying money for, and just the use of this single word is sometimes enough to convince a hesitating customer. It could be a guarantee of quick turnaround, delicious foods, quality prints, or even a general “satisfaction guaranteed” but whatever it may be, it is actually quite interesting how customers will be reassured just with this. Of course, if you use this for your high quality prints, you have to be able to back up your claim to a certain degree lest you end up like all of the other companies with all bark and no bite.

Convenient. Yet another thing that people seem to be attracted to is convenience. Call it an inclination for laziness but there is something compelling about having to do less effort than usual with the same or even more rewards. Using this word with your quality print designs is a good idea as long as you make the necessary adjustments to your services. (Translation: If you promise convenience, you must deliver convenience.) There is nothing wrong with appealing to your customers’ need for things to be easier and simpler, so list this word down for the next time you do some printing for your publicity materials.

Cheap. Finally, the last word that rings like magic to customer’s ears is “cheap”. Of course, smart people take the time to weigh all of the pros and cons and look for cost-effectiveness rather than low prices, but there is a greater impact into learning that someone is offering cheap goods and services. After all, everything in the commercial world has something to do with money—even if a little bit—and if there is a chance that people will be able to save some money, they will at least take the time to stop and consider before completely disregarding an option.

These are only three “buzzwords” that are commonly used by commercial printers and even other businesses not related in any way to postcard templates and postcard printing. There are quite a bit more than these that you may or may not know of, but what is important is you understand the significance of every single word you use and how it may affect your business.
