Brain over-rules the heart
Dalip Singh Wasan, Advocate.
This man on this earth has been given to understand that there are three organs which are controlling him. We have been told that there is a brain, there is a heart and we have also been told that there is a soul. We have been advised to listen to the call of our Soul because it is part of God and is present here in us to guide us and to go on right path. We have also been told that first of all we should put some strain on our brain and we must accept what it says and guides us. Most of the guides had been telling us that we should also listen to our heart and we should follow what it wants, but some scholars had been telling us that all the wishes which are taking in our heart cannot be fulfilled and we should first of all utilize our brain and if it concurs with the call of our heart only then we should do what our heart says and in most of the occasions, we have been advised not to listen to the call of our heart because this call can put us in troubles.
We have also been told that when we are blindly following the calls of our heart without applying our brain, we are not working wisely, but at that time we are working under the spell of the Devil who has also been established in this world by God Himself. We have seen that this devil is more powerful because when we study the records of men and women on this earth, we find that they had been wrongs and these wrongs had always been on the higher side and very few people had been there on this earth, who had been on the right path I.e. they had been working under the guidance of their brain. When the Devil comes and occupy the man, then this man does not listen to the calls of his heart and even of brain. The Soul in him goes away and he starts working under the spell of the Devil.
Our heart is a beautiful place where we enjoy what we want, though most of our heart desires are fulfilled in our heart itself and we are not in a position to come out with those desires and wishes which are taking place in our heart. We have got so many pressures and restraints which do not allow us to come forward with all what our hear desires. But what we want in our heart, we enjoy those wishes and demands in our heart and for the time being we do not allow brain, soul to come in and interfere what we are enjoying in our heart of heart and at that time, some part of spirit of the Devil is present in us because what our heart desires, often, those demands are the creations of the Devil and at that time the Soul is kept apart.
There is a heart, there is a brain, there is a Soul and then there is the Devil and this man is being controlled by these four powers are more powerful than the power of God. This soul is the part of God, but this soul is not allowed to function because of other strains and compulsions. This is the tragedy with this man that he could not find out what is good for him and what is bad for him. At most of the occasions this man is found in troubles and he remains busy in solving all these troubles and till death, he remains half-way and is never able to write off all his troubles. All his struggle, all his prayers and all his wishes and desires remain unfulfilled and he remains frustrated. If this man is creation of God and He is his parent, then this man should not have been put to such troubles where he is not in a position to decide whether he should listen to heart, should work on his brain, should listen to the call of soul or he should lay down before the Devil and work as the Devil desires. The man remains confused throughout in his life and that is the reason, he is always has got fear in his mind that one day he shall be suffering in Hell either in this life or after his death. This man is never free.
These worldly freedom, these worldly democracies and these constitutions are nothing for the man because he is a slave and is never free.
