Bribe cannot be abolished.
When we read works of Guru Nanak, we find that the Qazi i.e. the judicial officers of those days were taking bribe and they were deciding the cases in favour of those who were giving them bribe. It means this bribe system had been established here in Inda centuries ago and therefore, we could make certain improvements in this system and we never thought about giving up this system.
At present hre in India even those who are appointed or elected by us to guard us have started indulging in scams, scandals, muddles, bribes, taking commissions, takin dalali and they are found selling quotas, lincenses, selling jobs and that is the reason the people who are actually public servants have grown rich and the people, who are given the status of masters of the country have been reduced to poverty and all that and if we go deep, all these systems are other names of bribe and nothing more.
Here in India the concept of public service is written only in books and this principle has not attained the lifestyle of those who are in power. They are coming to the socalled public service taking this line as a profession, trade, calling and employment and they are investing money just to collect profits out of this occupation. They have got no desire in them to serve the people and that is the reason, the people of India are still suffering from poverty, illiteracy, unemployment and they are found houseless, beggars, wearing rags, are starving and dying because of no treatment.
India is a rich country, but the people are poor only because they have got corrupt administration and that is the reason India is counted as a corrupt country. Here in India even religions could not correct them and in spite of all directions and guidelines given in religious books, the people are still poor. They take bribe only because the people are ready to give bribe and it is on record that people themselves are fixing the amount of bribe when they proceed to a government office.
