The exceptionally talented Jazz artist Donald Byrd has released him CD entitled Free Form. I am very confident and happy to announce that I believe Donald Byrd fans, and Jazz fans alike will be pleased with this one. With the release of Free Form Donald Byrd"s artistic excellence is on full display as Byrd has once again delivered a brilliant collection of tracks that could very well be him best work to date.

Free Form will grab your attention right from the beginning with Pentacostal Feelin" and doesn"t let go until the very last note of the very last song Three Wishes, which by the way is another great track.

Free Form is a nicely varied, mix of 6 tracks that are very well written songs by this clearly talented artist. Most of the songs display a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Clearly drawing from what I can only imagine are him own personal experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions like love, heartbreak, pain, failed relationships and unattainable romance. They"re all here.

Free Form is a first rate CD, delivering a little something for everyone. I give it my highest recommendation. It"s quite simply great listening. A must buy if you"re even mildly into Jazz music.

While the entire CD is outstanding the truly standout tunes are track 2 - Night Flower, track 5 - Free Form, and track 6 - Three Wishes.

My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1 - Pentacostal Feelin". What a nice track!
