Find some one person about whom you can see a lifetime of learning from and hold them as tightly as you can.
Our mission on this wonderful greenish blue marble is to GROW as people. Not to stagnate. So whether it is the spouse that we commit to, the boss that we"ll learn from or the classmates that we sponge off of, we need to put more and more some ones in our lives that will add dimensions to us.
Otherwise it"s Dr. Phil and Diet Coke and the couch. And we were not intended for that to be the be all and end all.
There are so many some ones out there that will broaden us, it"s staggering. The question is not whether we should reach out to those people, but quickly we should!
My goal was like the goals of others...find some one woman that would challenge me on many levels. Not every one, of course, but on enough to make life, my life, interesting minute to minute.
Listen, I am NOT talking about a situation like in "Einstein"s Dreams" when the man returns home to the wife and must meet her for the first time every new night that he arrives at his own house...I am talking about not wearing comfortable slippers...all the time.
Allow yourself to be challenged with your thoughts and your actions.
Bring people close to you who will get you out of the routine that will mire you down.
Whether it"s a bowling partner that has different political views than you or a new butcher who likes to talk about his old country...it doesn"t matter as long as those people add new value to your life.
Find some one person who zigs when you zag, who likes chocolate when you"ve only ordered vanilla, someone who appreciates rap music (for what reason no one will ever know). LOL
Be a bigger part of the availability of life.
The results will broaden you in ways you never felt as if you might!
To find some one person that pushes you, allows you to grow.
And if you"re looking for that special someone, boy do I have killer news for you...
