» How to Learn From the Success Superstars

I was driving one time and noticed something stuck to the windscreen. Rather than the usual splatted flies that you see when travelling at speed this fly had managed to survive the impact and was holding on with his wings flapping as I zipped along the road at high speed!

The difference between this one fly and all the ones that got splatted on the windscreen is that this fly must have been travelling in the SAME direction as me to be able to survive the impact with my car.

Because of this it was able to get INSTANT MOMENTUM from me and as a result it got a free ride for about two miles at high velocity.

This is a powerful lesson that you can use to get your own instant momentum. If you see others around you, you can occasionally "jump aboard" and share in their momentum. But careful you don"t get splatted!

SPOT MOMENTUM MASTERS

If you are travelling in the same direction as the person with momentum then all will be well but otherwise you risk instant splatting!

What does this mean in practice? Start looking at those people around you who are always full of energy, are always achieving to a high standard then start watching them. Model what they do - engage with them, ask them questions. That"s one of the truly amazing things about successful people - they got there because they are real GIVERS and they love to share with others how to live successful lives.

You can look out around you for people who have Momentum in their personal lives or in their careers or with their financial affairs. You can easily spot people who have mastered the art of creating and maintaining momentum - these are the people we all aspire to and the people who make us ask;

"How do they DO that?"

Don"t just think these questions. Go up and ASK the person - you will be glad you did and the cool thing is that so will they!

MODEL, MORPH AND MIMIC

You need to do everything can to start emulating what these Momentum Masters are doing. How they walk, how they talk, how they behave, what clothes they wear, what they eat and what books they read.

You think all this stuff is incidental? Nothing in life is incidental. Especially not when it comes to successful people. People who have made it have shed all useless, friction-creating items and behaviours from their life - that"s why they"re full of fun, energy and able to create wealth, success and joy at lightning quick speed wherever they go.

So observe, take notes and also get as close to these people as possible. Befriend them. Take then out for a meal. Ask them what made them so successful.

We"re not talking about brown-nosing here - just simple dialogue from one interested party to another.

HOW TO MULTIPLY YOUR MOMENTUM THROUGH SHARING

Teaching others some of the techniques YOU have learned is an excellent way to multiply your momentum. Not only will this encourage you to recount the techniques but it will also get you to hear about the results that other people experience and their interpretation of the techniques.

If you share one technique with three friends you will hear about three times again with a slightly different interpretation and possibly even improvements each time. Teaching something is one of the best ways to master a skill as your students will ask you questions!

You need to do this in balance though and ensure that you don"t start forcing things onto people. If you see someone struggling with something or you feel like they would really benefit from one of the techniques then say something like;

"I"ve had a similar challenge and tried something that worked really well that might be able to use too. Do you want me to tell you about it?"

It"s important that you suggest you MAY be able to help the person and that you are not offering a solution just a tool to make their current situation easier.
