Living alone is one of the ways of spending life in this world.
As humans, we are part and parcel of a family first and a society next.
Therefore, the question of living alone, doesn"t arise.
Still we do find some people end up in a lonely life.
But they build up their own family or society for living together.
As a child, we are born to a father and mother who make the family to bring up the child into a grown up man or woman.
The family consists of relatives - close and distant - with whom we have a special relationship and attachment.
At the same time we pick up like-minded people as friends with whom we share our personal matters.
Friends, the good ones come forward to help at times of distress and also share the good things in life.
Friends may be from any sex, religion, caste, state or country.
These factors do not interfere in friendship.
Mutual respect prevails between friends whom we admire more than our own relatives.
The relatives, friends and society are our associates of life.
They will not allow us to live alone.
But, nowadays many people like to live alone and have a few friends along with few relatives whom they visit or invite whenever they feel like.
This way of life would be peaceful without creating interference to others.
But most of the aged people are left alone by their children because of their occupations which need them at various places of different countries.
Thus the parent - father and / or mother have / has to live alone with not much support.
Therefore, they are admitted in old age homes by paying monthly dues.
Some parents like these homes to spend the rest of their life with other inmates.
Living alone is monotonous sometimes for some, but if one plans and engare in some activity like reading, writing, visiting friends, attending music performances, he or she will not feel the monotony of loneliness.
Loneliness is only a feeling; in fact, we are not alone.
We are surrounded by plants, animals and humans and many other things of Mother Nature.
It is one"s duty to enjoy all those around him or her to make one"s life more useful.
There are thousands of men or women living single in our society.
They are invariably very successful in life because of the free thinking and non-interference by the companion - wife or husband.
Family in fact, takes away one"s time and concentration.
Singles in this world exist because of not finding suitable spouse, death of either wife or husband or separation.
These are generally considered to be unfortunate, still such cases are found in our society.

As I mentioned earlier in this article, no one likes to live alone for ever.
Everyone wants a companion to live with.

Marriage and family are the two important social set up for keeping companionship and produce children to perpetuate the human race.
Loneliness leads to mental stress, hence people try to make company with fellow humans or animal pets.

One thing is certain that nothing is impossible in this world.
Therefore, living alone is possible and at the same time one can live together with companions too.

There are advantages and disadvantages in living alone.
They differ from person to person, hence some prefer to live alone and some others do not prefer.
We find both sets of people in a society.
However, the people who live alone are less in number as compared to the others.
The circumstances under which living alone are many.
Therefore, living alone has become a way of life in this world.
Happiness or no happiness, men and women live according to the situation one is placed.
"Living Alone" is very popular in advance countries which have lost the past culture and entered into all sorts of abnormal manner of life.
Such style of life is spreading all over the world in the name of globalization.
Young generation of the developing countries blindly copy the independent family life forgetting the joint family system.
The choice lies on single person who live alone.
Moreover, individual freedom to choose a way of life lies with everyone whether man or woman.
Everything depends on the economic status of the person.
Therefore, living alone is also a choice of an individual.
