Wow - is that an old cliché or what?

Remember ladies?
Remember when Mom would tell us, "Pretty is as pretty does"?
Translation - True beauty comes from what you do, not how you look.
A classic, and just as relevant today as it was back in the day, perhaps even more so.
The message here is to focus on being a decent human being, living by the Golden Rule, doing unto your fellow person as you would unto yourself.
Specifically, the Dos:
1.Take care of your body by eating right, exercising, sleeping and relaxing.
2.Do good work
3.Contribute to your community in some way
4.Do volunteer work
5.Exercise your brain on a daily basis
6.Nurture your relationship with yourself
7.Nurture your relationships with friends and family
8.Celebrate something every day
As for the Don"ts:
1.Don"t abuse your body by eating the wrong things, not getting enough sleep, not exercising and getting stressed out all the time
2.Don"t stay at a job you hate
3.Don"t ignore what"s going on in your community
4.Don"t spend inordinate amounts of money and time on clothes and makeup
5.Don"t get obsessed with how you look
6.Don"t put material things before friends and family
Here it is in simple terms: live purposefully.
Think about becoming the best person you can be, maximize your potential, and always consider your personal impact on people, animals, and the environment.
