Let"s face it: Pussycat Dolls Present Girlicious is just so contrived. The show"s purpose is to come up with a pre-fabricated girl group and the show is a spin-off or a second season of the reality program which aimed to find the latest addition to another pre-fabricated girl group based on a burlesque act. Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious has just robbed off all the creativity from discovering musical talent, so people aren"t just going to get too excited about it.
Probably the only thing that makes audiences interested in these kinds of shows is the various personalities of the contestants involved. A really great batch of contestants can turn an obnoxious show into a hit, and a so-so batch can break a reality series into a flop.
We already had a first look at Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious, and we can already see which girls might make the show worth watching for, and which ones we"d like to see get kicked out. So in last night"s episode, who was Girlicious?
Robin Antin hasn"t really defined for us what Girlicious means. In fact, all she ever said was that this girl group was gonna be more of a hip-hop and R&B, unlike the Pussycat Dolls. At this point, there"s still too many contestants to see if they really have the singing and dancing talent to make it far in the competition. However, there were some girls who did show off enough talents to be developed for stardom. The picks for last night"s Most Girlicious are Tiffanie, Alexis, Jenna and Ilisa. Tiffanie was already called out by Ron Flair as having star power, while Alexis seemed to have a good Girlicious flair. Jenna"s determination to get out of the wheelchair implied that we"d be seeing more of her soon, and Ilisa showed off her spunk, which may help her get far into the competition.
Finally, our bottom three include Charlotte and Kristin, who were lacking stage presence and charisma, and Keisha, who was eliminated for her weak vocals.
