Religious places
Dalip Singh Wasan, Advocate.

There are so many main religions and there are so many sub religions and our elders had been guiding us that we should visit these religious places daily. They had been advising us that we should spend some time in those religious places and we should join others in reciting religious books and in joint prayer before God. Whether God resides in these religious places or He is present at each place, are the questions which are still halfway and could no be answered correctly by the people who had been discussing on these subjects. But if we go deep, we shall find that with the passing of time, this man on this earth has started believing that God is present at these religious places and He is very close to us when we are sitting and when we are present in a religious place and specially when we are offering a joint prayer.
The man present in a religious place starts believing that God is present there and is having a close eye on the man. Therefore, till the man is present in the religious place, there are chances that he is not committing a crime, sin or a misconduct. rather he is praying before God that all crimes, all sins and all misconducts which he had been committing in the past may be forgiven and he should not be allowed to commit such crimes, sins and misconducts in the future. The man starts praying for pardon and that is the reason, till he is there, he stops thinking about sins, crimes and misconducts. He starts to become a good person.
There could be persons who have come to the religious place for praying that they may be given success in the work which they had taken in hand and that work, actually is a crime, a sin or a misconduct. It means if good people are present in the religious place, there could be people who are demanding something bad and they are praying for that. We cannot avoid presence of such people at the religious places, but still it must be accepted that the number of people who are trying to become better people is on the higher side. Therefore, visiting a religious place should not banned or stopped nor we should say that it is a mere futile rehearsal. It is useful and we should visit a religious place and see with our own eyes that the people who are present within the premises of a religious place are behaving properly and in a better way and they forget their bad habits for the time being.. If such rehearsals continue for sometime, there are chances that most of us could turn good people or better people.
