Fans would be happy to know that the demon slaying Winchester brothers are back, with Supernatural airing its four all-new episodes starting tomorrow night at 9pm. Eric Kripke recently had a conversation with Kristin at E!Online, and he shared his thoughts on the Bela and Ruby controversy, how he feels about going up against Lost and the chances of Supernatural being granted another season. Moreover, this week"s episode of Supernatural entitled "Malleus Maleficarum" will deal with the good old witches and monsters, and a little insight on the mysterious Ruby (Katie Cassidy).

About Supernatural having another season, creator Eric Kripke said, "We always feel like we"re a bubble show. We always feel that the sword of Damocles is kind of dangling over our heads. And that"s why we"re so fervent about getting the word out with fans. The fate of the show lies in their hands more than anybody else"s. You know, they have to continue to spread the word, they have to continue to let their friends know, because the main thing that determines whether we"re back is just viewers. Pure and simple."

As for Supernatural having to compete with Lost, Kripke isn"t happy at all about the idea, but has been putting in all he can to "get as much promo time as possible."

Kripke also talked about Bela (Lauren Cohan) and Ruby, the two female characters who were not wholeheartedly welcomed by most fans.

"I"m not surprised the fans are responding this way," Kripke said of the strong fan base. "because they tend to be very passionate about the show, and God love them for it. And they tend to have very strong opinions, specifically on the females we bring on to the show."

As for their previous female addition Jo, played by Alona Tal, they retracted her from the show because they thought that the character wasn"t well developed, despite Tal being a great actress. Nonetheless, this time they have two new female actresses who still have to prove their worth to the audiences.

Supernatural may have a hard time in competing with Lost, but rest assured that the fans would do their part in spreading the word, and keeping Supernatural afloat.
