I"m not sure about you but in my 20 + years of education I never once took a basic drafting class much less an architecture course so why do all of the online house plan sellers expect me to know what all of those lines mean. Do architects go to the a mechanic without him explaining what is wrong with their car or to doctor without getting a layman"s explanation of his disease? So why do they expect me to be an expert at their job before I buy their house plan. Why do I have to know what type of line means a wall and which one is a window? Why does he expect me to know where every entry to the house is and how all of the rooms fit together? If I was such an expert at visualizing how all of that fit together I could just draw the plans myself. Finally someone has realized that and is offering house plans to those of us without a four year degree in architecture check out the new houseplancentral.com to see what"s changing the industry.
