Ayurveda is a straightforward, practical science of life, the principles and practices of which develops throughout many centuries. Ayurvedic science is based on perpetual knowledge of people who obtain the knowledge from know-how of the process and some hard meditation. Ayurvedic system is pertinent universally to all those seeking peace and harmony in life and health. One has to go through the various write-ups to know the real form of Ayurveda and other subject like; biology, theology and philosophy.

Ayurveda has its own principles and philosophy to life. According to Ayurveda, man is a universe within himself. The very existence of human is inextricably entangled to one element. As the entire universe consist of five basic elements the Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space.

The word Ayurveda is composed of two Sanskrit terms - Ayu meaning life and Veda meaning knowledge. Therefore Ayurveda means the knowledge of life or science of life. It is defined as the science, through which one can obtain knowledge about the useful and harmful ways of life, happy and miserable types of life, conditions that lead to the above types of life, as well as, the very nature of life.

The first step toward Ayurvedic treatment starts with understanding of the patient. This is done because Ayurvedic treatment believes that two persons with same disease need different treatment since both have different structure. So to bring back the natural balance is vital to initiate pure ayurvedic process. A neat approach towards achieving success with ayurveda is about making it mix with body requirement. A well implemented approach to patient enables ayurveda to bring out the negative and put his health back to normal so as to lead a healthy life.

According to Ayurvedic medicine, human body consists of three primary life forces or biological humors, which are Vatha, Pitha and Kapha. These three doshas are called the tridoshas. A balance among these life forces is essential for proper health. Any imbalance among the tridoshas causes a state of unhealthiness or disease.

Ayurvedic system says that any imbalance in the bodily process has to be dealt with equal care so as not to disturb other vital organs and their process. So the focus is on to bring back normalcy to the balance of these doshas and regain back healthiness
