• Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University
One of the oldest Art Schools (Boston) in New England, the Art Institute of Boston is one of US News & World Report's Best Colleges 2010 and one of Princeton Review's Best Northeastern College. The college also finds a mention in the book, Great Colleges for the Real World.

The college is a private, co-educational college with an average studio class size of 12. It offers pre-college, undergraduate, MFA, certificate, extended, and dual degree programs. Studio faculty comprises Boston's top professional artists.

• Boston University
The Boston University's College of Fine Arts comprises the Schools of Theater, Visual Arts, and Music. It was established in 1954, and offers training in conservatory-style environments.

Visual arts faculty comprises artists who have won numerous awards and fellowships, including those awarded by the Guggenheim Foundation, and National Endowment for the Arts. The School of Visual Arts offers undergraduate, graduate, and study-abroad programs.
