2. Buttons. If you want to create a holiday character for your Christmas gift boxes, use buttons from dresses that you are no longer using. Gather as many varied shapes as you want. These ones will be the eyes, the nose and the mouth. For the ears, you may simply cut old cloth then place foam inside it to make it stiffer.
3. Magasines. There are a lot of magasine cut outs that can provide aesthetics to your gift boxes. You may cut out popular quotations that are found on some of the magasine pages. If you want to make the output look more noticeable, then you may use art paper. Place the quotations on top of the art paper and cut it out according to the shape you want.
4. Ribbons from last Christmas. To complete the look of your Christmas gift boxes, why not look for ribbons you have kept from the last holiday? You may also use ribbons from other occasions like Valentine's Day and even birthdays.
5. Other materials. Would you be able to fulfil the project without using your scissors and scotch tapes or glue and glue gun? Well, you need to have this on hand. For more complicated Christmas gift boxes, you may need pliers to create your decors.
Creating your Christmas gift boxes need not be expensive. If you have not tried exploring your cupboards and closets lately, now is the time to take off trash and utilise them for better purposes such as this project. You may not know it but there are old stuffs from the home that will make your Christmas gift boxes look good as new.
