Face-lifted Hero Honda Karizma R launched in India

Hero Honda launched their face lifted model of their premium model Karizma.

Hero Honda launched their face lifted model of their premium model Hero Honda Karizma. The new model was launched in January 2011 and it costs Rs. 84500/- . Comparing with that of the previous model of Karizma there are no technical changes made in the 2011 model. But, apart from that, there are some changes in the appearance for the brand new model of Karizma. It is clear that the new model is made by the inspiration of the Karizma ZMR.

All the modifications that are made are just like that of the ZMR. The main changes included in the new version of Hero Honda Karizma R are: The instrument panel is now been colored yellow and there is a logo of Hero Honda Karizma inside the speedometer. The R logo, which was present of the fuel tank, is now removed and the company left out a blank space instead. The colors of the front forks are same as that of the ZMR. There is reflector present on the flanks of the engine cow. It is also noticeable that a orange colored material is attached with the engine cover.

Apart from this, the handle bar is also lowered slightly compared to that of the ZMR. There is silver colored tinge on the indicators similar to that of ZMR. It is really nice to see the Hero Honda logo on the handle bar. The most notable thing in the design is that, there is no more two-tone color for the new Hero Honda Karizma. It is going to be all black color theme. There is an addition in the new version with the sari guard. There is also a provision for chain cover to ensure additional safety to the ladies sitting on the rear side. The tires are all tubeless and the bike is also having maintenance free battery.

Hero Honda, India’s largest two wheeler makers is welcoming the New Year by refining their top end model Hero Honda Karizma, with cool designs and the company is expecting to have more sales out of this. The company is also expecting to have a good competition with Bajaj Auto’s Pulsar, TVS’s Apache RTR and Yamaha’s R15 which are the best sellers in the 150 cc segment. But the company being the India’s no. 1, they are confident to make this model too a big seller. As Hero and Honda are going to split in to two different companies this year, this model will be a remarkable one.
