Because of this ability to lower cholesterol it has been included in certain supplements. This obviously makes it easier to ensure you get a regular dose of the benefits this rice has, as it would come in easy capsule form. However there is a limited supply in the US since it is actually illegal to sell these supplements if they contain a lot of red yeast rice extracts.

If you want to consider taking red yeast rice supplements you must be sure they have only trace amounts in them. An easier way to ingest the essential benefits is to cook with either the rice itself or to use those foods which have the rice in them.

The truth is that it is early days with regard to red yeast rice being used as a supplement. As time goes on more tests will no doubt be done to see whether the beneficial properties of this rice can be harnessed in a good way. Then we will hopefully see more legal supplements which allow people to make the most of the health benefits of this rice.

It will certainly be an easier way for many people to introduce red yeast rice into their daily diets. It isn’t the easiest substance to get hold of and many people may wonder how to cook with it if they have never seen it before. A supplement answers all the questions you may have.
