HTC is about to launch a new version of their smart phone Wildfire in the Mobile World Congress 2011 to be held in Barcelona next week.

HTC is about to launch a new version of their smart phone Wildfire in the Mobile World Congress 2011 to be held in Barcelona next week. The new phone is named Wildfire 2 and it is said to be cheaper and downsized version of the sophisticated HTC desire. The HTC Wildfire 2 Price in India will be in the range of 15,000 rupees in Indian market. The striking feature of Wildfire to is expected to be its high end connectivity settings. Let us have a look at the specifications and features.Wildfire 2 Runs an Android Éclair v2.1 operating system with Qualcomm MSM 7225 528 MHz processor. The TFT capacitive touch screen of the phone with QVGA resolution is 3.2 inches in size and it also has a sense user interface and multi touch support. An optical track pad is also present. The other features include proximity sensor for accelerometer sensor. It supports QUADBAND GSM, GPRS and EDGE in 2G networks. The HSDPA 3G connectivity has a speed of 7.2 Mbps. The five mega pixel camera has features like auto focus, touch focus and LED flash. A 15fps video recording with a resolution of 352 x 288 pixels is also there. The RAM is 384 MB in size and has a 512 MB ROM. There is a micro SD card slot which come pre installed with a2 GB memory card. Wildfire 2 can directly access to official android repository.

There is Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and blue tooth of v2.1 with A2DP which makes file transfers easier. The standard mini USB port is present for data transfer and charging. The front stream application makes it quick to access social networking sites such as Face Book, Twitter, and Flickr etc. There is a flash enabled browser to access internet. Wildfire 2 has GPS receiver and Smart dialing facility also. The music functions are also good in Wildfire2. There is FM radio with RDS, audio and video players which support different formats of files. A Standard 3.5 mm audio jack is built in the phone .The wildfire 2 is powered by 1300 mAh battery which will provide a talk time of 7 hours and a stand by time up to 480 hours. There are certain draw backs also in the phone. It will be a bit slow for some tasks and screen image quality is rather poor. it does not have voice dialing facility of TV.
