Hero Honda Splendor NXG was launched on last 2007 together with the CD Deluxe, Passion Plus and new motorcycle model called Hunk, all at the same year. In that time, Hero Honda was known to be the World’s No. 1 for the 6th year in a row and 20 million production milestones was achieved. The exact on the road price of the Hero Honda Splendor NXG was Rs. 48,500.
Hero Honda Splendor NXG features with one of a kind next generation attractive console and a new visor. It has also a power star for an exciting ride. It also offers an aerodynamic design with black alloy wheels for great riding. It has a next generation styling with bold new graphics and an advance pro series APDV engine for better power, better mileage and better acceleration. Everyone would be proud also to have a next generation clear lens winkers and tail light that grab all the attention. Hero Honda Splendor NXG’s engine and transmission includes a displacement of 97.50 ccm (5.95 cubic inches), an engine type of Single cylinder with four-stroke and a power reaching 7.37 HP (5.4 kW) at 8000 RPM. Its torque reaches 8.04 Nm (0.8 kgfm-m or 5.9 ft.lbs) at 4500 RPM and a bore x stroke of 50.0 x 49.5 mm (2.0 x 1.9 inches). It has a Carburetor fuel system and has an OHC as its fuel control. It has an ignition like APDV and air as a cooling system. Gearbox has 4-speed with a chain transmission type and final drive. Its clutch is wet and multi-disk. On the other hand, about its chassis, suspension, brakes and wheels, its frame type is a tubular double cradle frame and has a front suspension that contains telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers. Rear suspension includes a swing arm with hydraulic shock absorbers with front tyre dimensions of about 2.75-18 and rear tyre dimensions of 2.75-18. Front brakes are expanding (drum brake and has a diameter of 130 mm (5.1 inches). Rear brakes also are expanding brakes (drum brake) and have a diameter of 110 mm (4.3 inches). Physical measures and capacities however specified weight including oil, gas, etc. for about 112.0 kg (246.9 pounds). Its seat height is 785 mm (30.9 inches) and if adjustable, it could be on its lowest setting. Hero Honda Splendor NXG’s overall height is 1,095 mm (43.1 inches) and has an overall length of 1,965 mm (77.4 inches). Its overall width of 720 mm (28.3 inches) makes it have its ground clearance for about 160 mm (6.3 inches). Surprisingly, it can occupy 9.50 liters (2.51 gallons) of fuel and has a reserve fuel capacity of 1.80 liters (0.48 gallons). Its starter could be through electric or kick.
