The handicap lift can transfer disable person and the wheelchair one floor to other very safely and easily. That wheelchair lift must be very powerful. Usually these handicap lifts have a platform that can be wheeled onto and it has a motor that lift the platform up and down to one or more different floors of the building.
Buildings only provide the disable person access through the ramps before the invention of wheelchair lifts. In that period of time the ramps work perfectly and these are widely used to move disable persons. And gradually the ramps become impractical and these are replaced by the handicap lifts. One of the most common reasons of the use of lift instead of ramp is architectural because the ramps take huge space in the buildings.
