Items such as lighting fixtures and electric guitars could be defective and you would never know until the deal is sealed. Electrical repair on such items can be costly, and therefore, undermine the savings you just earned by shopping a pawn. However, for the most part, pawn shops are a great way to save money, find rare treasures, and even set up a relationship with the owners to call you when a particular item comes in. You may also wish to sell your own merchandise through this venue one day, and its better to do business with a pawn shop broker that you know and trust to deliver a square deal.
