Hyundai Santa Fe to launch tomorrow

The Hyundai Santa Fe is unveiling tomorrow with a seven seater and Cardekho would be taking notes as it covers the launch live ! The Hyundai Santa Fe to be imported as a CBU. is expected in the diesel model with a 2.2 diesel engine. The power wheeler is anticipated to be in two versions- 6Speed Manual Transmission and 6Speed Automatic Transmission. The 2199 c engine, 2.2L is expected to be having CRDI diesel engine. CRDI (Common Rail Direct Injection) is sure to make engine perform better and with great fuel efficiency. For better torque and clear emission, the Euro V engine of Hyundai Santa Fe is anticipated to have 4 cylinders and 16 valves with DOHC (Double Over Head Camshafts). The 6 Speed Manual Transmission Gearbox with 2.2L engine, produce a maximum power of 145 Kw at 3800 rpm and a torque of 422 Nm at 1800-2500 rpm. The 6 Speed Automatic Transmission with 2.2L engine will produce of 145Kwat 3800 rpm and maximum torque of 436 Nm at 1800-2500 rpm.

Hyundai Santa Fe is expected to be designed again with great looks both in its exteriors and interiors offering comfort and style. The added advanced features will surely capture the hearts of car admirers. To give a new look to the savvy SUV, new bumpers and body changes, sporty wheels, a pair of fog lights, new grille have been incorporated which make it look sleek and slender. The SUV launch will face some tough competitors in the Indian market such as Honda CR-V, Chevrolet Captiva, Nissan X Trail, Ford Endeavour, Mitsubishi Outlander. It will also be face to face with Skoda Yeti and Nissan Murano which are expected to hit the market by fall of 2010. It is the third time Hyundai is entering the SUV market. They have played in the Indian market by launching the Terracan and Hyundai Tuscon. As they discounted in India, the cars went for a global change as the Indian markets looks promising in the luxury SUV segment at 18 to 20 percent. The already popular cars such as Toyota Fortuner have cemented their place in the Indian Market.
