IT jobs and education sector since the demand of IT companies can be met only when trained manpower is produced at the technology institutes.

India is one of the fastest developing countries in the world today and houses almost every leading company from different sectors like technology, retail, finance, manufacturing, etc. When all the developed economies of the world reached on the verge of a crash down during global meltdown, it is the Indian economy that remained robust. Not only then, it continues to flourish even today while other countries are still dealing with the threat of another economic crisis. The number of jobs in India has been constantly growing and so are the salary packages across all industries. With huge investments in higher education, India is producing millions of qualified students year after year, thus, creating a conglomerate of skilled professionals.

Indian Government has pumped in nearly 2500 crores to improve the quality of technical education imparted in colleges around the country. The quality of education in hundreds of IT colleges across the country is now upgraded to the level of ace IIT (Indian Institute of Information Technology). Under the second phase of TEQIP (Technical Education Quality Improvement Program), financial assistance is taken from World Bank as well as state and private institutions. This expenditure is expected to produce well trained and highly skilled engineering students who will then cater to the needs of the corporate sector. IT industry is abuzz with demand for professionals with thousands of IT jobs in India awaiting proficient personnel. One can be sure that these positions will soon be filled appropriately owing to the initiates undertaken by the Government.

The most appealing feature of setting up business in India is the low operational costs and the efficient manpower. Almost all the IT giants in the world have their offices in India today such as Adobe, Microsoft, Dell, Oracle and many more. Some of the major national players include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra, IBM, L & T InfoTech, Patni Computer Systems, etc. With such large number of top IT companies functioning across the nation, information technology job sites in India are growing every quarter. Even as U.S. and European countries continue to struggle with economic recovery, India is believed to have created more than 2 lakh jobs in IT sector. Moreover, the numbers are expected to raise in the coming year with nearly 2.5 lakh IT jobs coming up. This also indicates that IT industry has proved the naysayers wrong by recovering much faster than presumed. The end of financial year has shown immense growth even at the times of economic and natural crisis.

It is remarkable that not only metropolitan cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore are buzzing with IT growth but also tier-II and III cities. Information technology jobs in India are available in all parts of the country- West, East, South, North and Central.
