A battery is basically a tank of electricity that would provide your car, recreational vehicles or gizmos the necessary energy to make them work. Such contraption is designed to give out stored energy over time or in a 15-second surge.

Your recreational vehicle would need a special type of battery that would help everything run smoothly. Therefore, when you choose the RV batteries that you would use, you need to take into account five important things, namely: RV system voltage, ampere hour capacity (AH), life span of the batteries, cold cranking amps (CCA) and the warranty.

How do I know which RV battery to choose?

You and your family use the recreational vehicles most of the time. Now you cannot trust your life and that of your family to just any battery, right? You need to choose the best there is to ensure that anyone who will use the RVs will always be safe.

Lifeline RV batteries are certified by Underwriters Laboratory and each of these batteries are hand-packed and assembled precisely with the use of the most up-to-date AGM technology. Moreover, it is the longest lasting type of battery being offered in the market today. It contains several fail-safe features that would ensure that it would always be safe for use.

What maintenance tips for RV batteries can anyone suggest?

If you plan to take your RV on a long or short trip, you need to make sure that everything is running smoothly, especially your batteries. You definitely do not want to have any cause of stress while travelling. If you are using Lifeline RV batteries then you are one step ahead since these batteries are considered to be of the highest quality.

But even though you have the best battery there is you still have to make sure that they are properly maintained. One important thing to consider is battery storage. Take care that you store fully charged batteries and that they will not remain unused for an extended period since sulfation of the plates may happen. This would cut down the lifespan and effectiveness of your battery. Remember not to place these batteries on the cement floor in order to prevent draining their power.

Make sure also that these batteries are properly charged. Constantly overcharging or undercharging them would definitely lessen the lifespan of your RV batteries. If you undercharge them, sulfate materials on the plates would harden – something you definitely want to avoid.

If you overcharge them too, too much water in the electrolyte solution would boil and cause the battery to overheat thus causing the plates to go out of shape. Batteries should be recharged after each use if they reach 70% or below. When you do charge them, take care that this is done in a well-ventilated area and that sparks or any type of flame are kept away.

Water is quite important in your lifeline rv batteries. The electrolyte solution in this type of battery would need regular adding of water. Make sure that you do use ordinary tap water since they contain minerals that would leave some impurities on the solution and could trigger unwanted chemical reactions that could mess about with the battery’s normal functioning. Instead, use distilled water.

If you will not use your RV for a long time, then it is best that you remove the RV batteries and store them properly. When removing the battery, remember to remove first the negative terminal. Then clean them with baking soda mixture (50 parts water, 50 parts baking soda). Check the level the electrolyte solution and add water if required. Check first its charge status before storing.

If it is below 80%, then charge it first before you store them because a partially charged one would freeze faster. Recharge them from time to time too. Your Lifeline RV batteries are the best there is in the market. However, they still need to be maintained properly so that they can give you the best performance you want from them.
