Maintenance Tasks for Your Lawn Mower

There are routine tasks that will keep your lawn mower running smoother. First, pull and clean the spark plug. The spark plug is what provides an electric spark to ignite the fuel in the engine. Without that ignition, the engine will not turnover and give you power. Use a spark plug wrench to loosen the plug and remove it manually. Use a bit of fine sandpaper to remove any contamination from both ends of the spark plug. Any build up will prevent proper ignition.

You can also use an air hose to blow the debris out of the filter. However, use caution as the air pressure pose can be too much and tear the filter in some cases.
