Others are war veterans that do not have enough money to convert their home to a handicapped-friendly one so that they will not have a hard time moving up and about in their house. Another favorite beneficiary of the company is the American Red Cross. It is one of the largest and most popular non-profit organizations in the world. Many of its volunteers dare to trek into the most dangerous areas for the purpose of providing help to people who have been oppressed or injured in wars, disasters, and other tragic events that have been caused either by man or nature. Closely resembling the mission and vision of American Red Cross is yet another one of the beneficiaries of Mathis Brother Furniture, City Rescue Mission. Several Christian businessmen founded the organization in 1946 for the original purpose of providing soup, soap & salvation to Jacksonville citizens who were struggling with alcohol dependence. Eventually, however, the charitable institution found itself evolving into an entity that served a broader purpose: to answer the needs of the homeless with the grace of Jesus Christ.
Aside from offering emergency aid of all types, the organization is also involved in planning and managing residential recovery programs. These were formulated to provide not only shelter but basic needs of the homeless as well, including but not limited to clothing and food.

Mathis Brothers furniture is now available online from the company’s website. In the past, a lot of people had to spend extra just to visit the company’s offices in Oklahoma and California. Now, however, they can use the money for transportation as extra funds for buying their dream furniture and having it delivered to their doorstep.
