In cities like Mumbai, the working class spends about two third of their time in their respective workplaces. Imagine, working in the same typical work shell….Absolutely monotonous. But, if the same interior environment is given a makeover, which is a visual treat, user friendly, ergonomically viable and relaxing the output of the user, willingness to work and deliver the best will increase by leaps and bounds.
Hence, many corporate today are indulging in getting their workplace professionally designed. Facilities need to be designed keeping the end user in mind and not just emphasizing on aesthetics. If the user is comfortable in operating the premises the designer’s efforts are successful. Ergonomics is what many people ignore. But this is as important as a backbone for the human. If ergonomics is absent it can affect the user’s health tremendously. It is not restricted to the heights of the desks and chairs but circulation is also a vital factor to be considered.
Utilizing the space to the best is not everyone’s cup of tea. A lot of thought and man hours need to be dedicated. Today with the increasing prices, clients pay for every inch of the space. So, it’s the service provider’s responsibility to provide the client the best utilization of his penny spent.
Relaxation in the form of providing a huddle, cafeteria is seen in the modern office environment as the stress levels and working hours are high. These need to be designed in a manner that stands out from the rest of the facility. With the use of bright colors, different shapes, materials one can achieve this.
Transparency and openness are welcomed by most corporate clients as reflecting a physical hierarchy is getting sidelined.
Also the facility should reflect the nature of the company and its employees giving it a unique theme. And this is what will make the office different than the others. A facility which has its own identity.
iDream is no where behind in guiding such corporate and making their facility achieve this and sustainable as well.
