Nikon launched its first ever Coolpix digital camera way back in the year 1996 with the model name Coolpix 100.It was a visual delight for the consumers.This boasted of a colossal 0.3 megapixels and was priced quite high initially.Since then Nikon has brought many other digital cameras in the market with varying features and enhancements.

Each of these series is based on user specific and has broad range of features to choose from. Each series comes in different price ranges to cater the needs of wide range of consumers. Of the three series the L series is priced at a lower range but it doesn’t though compromise on the quality.

It is a camera for capturing images and shooting for outdoor adventure purpose and therefore it has been correctly abbreviated as AW meaning All Weather digital camera.It produces HD 1080i video which can be directly plugged a HD television for watching and enjoying.It is also equipped with built in compass and a GPS having an internal map.
