There has always been a large concern with regards to recruitment. Candidates with various levels of educational qualifications can easily find jobs in this department. The division of Indian railways is done into various ranks. There is again a sub division. Each division is having non technical as well as technical departments having different functions. The technical departments mainly include technical, civil, mechanical engineering, telecom services and signaling. For managing the non technical departments, various people are hired by RRB recruitment for general services such as personnel management, accounts, traffic and security services as well as Railway protection force.
The railway officers who are of a very high rank mainly belong to the A group. However, the officers who are of a low rank belong to the D group. UPSC recruits the officers of Group A. civil services examination is conducted by UPSC or by the IRAS that is the Indian Railway accounts service. Sometimes, it is conducted by the Indian Railway Traffic service as well. Combined engineering service examination is required for the recruitment to Indian railway service of electrical engineers, Indian railway accounts service and Indian railway traffic services.
There is an added advantage for the employees of group B for not appearing for any special exam. There are nearly 20 rrbs who are having a duty to recruit a good number of staff for all regions. Generally the C and D group employees are recruited by the RRB recruitment. All the appealing candidates who belong to the same region can submit their application for this examination. The training of non gazette and railway officers is done in the schools for zonal training. The training of officers in railways jobs is done at centralized training institutes. Six centralized training institutes are run by the Indian railways for giving training to various candidates.
The major institutes for training are:
• Indian railway institute of transportation management
• Indian railway institute of signal engineering and telecommunications
• Railway protection force academy
• Indian railway institute of electrical engineering
Preparations have to be started by the candidates as soon as they will come to know about the exams of rrb recruitment. A thorough preparation is extremely essential. This is the only way for clearing railway examination. If a person wants the preparations to be perfect, he must just practice the question papers of RRB. If he solves the question papers of previous years, it will surely help a lot. By solving question papers of previous years, a person will get an idea of how the question paper actually is. It will also tell the marks that are allotted to every question. If these papers are solved on daily basis, good numbers can surely be scored.
