Skoda Auto Q3 worldwide sales increased by 12 pct

Skoda Auto, the Czech car maker has achieved a new milestone. This renowned auto major has increased its worldwide sales by around twelve point eight percent Year-On-Year to 568,990 cars during the period of January to September in the year 2010.

This renowned auto major has increased its worldwide sales by around twelve point eight percent Year-On-Year to 568,990 cars during the period of January to September in the year 2010. In the month of September only, Skoda Auto successfully sold 75,790 cars and thus the company registered the best monthly result ever in its history. Board chairman of Skoda, Mr Winfried Vahland stated that looking at the present development of sales and record results in the month of September, a significantly great number of cars are expected to be sold in the present year 2010 than in 2009.

Skoda Auto also registered the best sales outside Europe. In China, the sales of Skoda Auto raised sixty five percent Year-On-Year to 134,470 vehicles. In India, the sales of Skoda Auto raised by thirty seven percent Year on Year to 14.224 cars. In Russia, the sales of the company increased by a third to 34,273 vehicles. In terms of the domestic market, the sales of the company grew by nine percent YoY to 43,666 cars which corresponds to about thirty five percent market share. In Western Europe, except for Germany, the sales increased rose by a fourth. Here there was mostly the demand for Greenline, the ecological model. Also, the demand for Skoda models raised in UK, Spain, France, Austria, Belgium and Switzerland.

In the month of September, the Octavia model registered the highest sales. The sales of this Skoda model increased by 16.5% to 31,546 cars. On the other hand, another model, Skoda Fabia recorded around seventeen percent drop in sales to 23,434 vehicles. Sales of Superb increased by 139% to 9,962 cars and that of Yeti by 240% to 5,389 cars while the demand for Roomster dropped by a third to 3,327 cars.

Recently Skoda Auto had launched their stylish product Skoda Fabia. It is considered as the first Super Hatch of India by its manufacturers. The model has got a big passenger and cargo space which has been designed with premium looks. It is comfortable as well as luxurious and stylish
