Steel Building Causes Arizona Man to Kick up his Heels

Although Kester only parks two cars in the steel arch building, he says there is room enough to fit four. Having that kind of space in a building that is both strong and visually appealing were foremost in his mind when he set out in October 2009 to find a company that had what he was looking for.

“I searched the web and SteelMaster Buildings came up more prominently than others,” says Kester. “The person who helped me gave me good discounts and was friendly. He also stored the building for more than six months while I prepared the sight.”

Because his yard contained large boulders that needed to be moved to create space for the building, Kester hired someone with a track hoe to accomplish that task. After that he had 404 tons of dirt hauled in and compacted so that the building site was properly prepared and then hired someone to pour and finish the concrete slab. “The county insisted on me getting an engineer to design the concrete slab, which set me back six weeks and $800,” says Kester. “The day we were able to start building was a beautiful fall day, and we had it up and all the bolts in in five hours. I expect to get the front and back on and the cabinets built in the next few months.”
