The television and cinema technology, short FCT is an association magazine of television and cinema Technology Society ( FKTG ) is the official organ of the Organization. It reports on current developments and innovations in the field of broadcast technology with an emphasis on electronic media.

Rezipiert is the magazine of the members of the FKTG, but also of interested readers who want to learn about technologies and applications in the broadcast field and on the activities of the society. Published by the FCT, the Berlin publishing house Schiele & Schon.

The FCT was created in 1947 and has since accompanied the TV and Cinema Technology Society (FKTG) as an official, but financially independent body. Both institutions look back on an even longer history, but during the FKTG officially in the postwar period the succession took their own society, founded in 1919, the formerly associated magazine was discontinued. Without regard to its predecessor magazine cover, a new journal with the same name was lifted from the baptism: the cinema technology. Only in 1953 was renamed the FCT, which at that time stood still as a shorthand for movie-theater technology.

For many years, the FCT is the only commercially available in the free magazine, which is thematically with the art of film and television worked. This only changed with the introduction of private television in the FRG in the 80s.
