But his hand closed the knife slowly. Just then, I gave a red and big apple to him. When the apple appeared in his view, he was a little surprise, and his hand loosed which held the knife.
Actually I paid attention to him a long time; I guessed that he must want to eat the apple. So I gave it to him. Three days later, he came to my stall again. This time I gave three apples to him before he opened his month. Same as last time, he ate the apple quickly and hurried off. When I prepared to go to home at night, I found a new which left by the customers. Opened it, I was stunned. Police will give 30000 dollars to people as an award who gives them the clues to catch the criminal. And that criminal was the man who I gave the apple to him. Finally, the reason defeated the mercy. I contacted with the police.
The police ambushed around my stall a few days. At the third day, the criminal appeared again. He dressed like the photo of the newspaper. However he seemed unaware something, so he did not enter the areas of policeman. We were afraid of that he would take action suddenly, so we oversaw him nervously. It was surprised to everyone; he pulled the knife out and threw it on the ground. At this time, the police caught him. He suddenly stopped and said to the policeman: “please wait! I have some words to him.” and then he walked to me: “actually, I put the newspaper on your desk.”
I opened the paper again, and it wrote: “I was so tired to hide from one place to another, when you gave an apple to me, and I felt the life was not worst what I thought before. I paid 30000 dollars in turn. Thank you so much.”
