Born in Stockton California in 1980 to refugee parents, Jay T. Franklin has been honing his skills since 12 or 13 years old. He has battle friends on the streets all the way to juvy halls and prison yard (1998 Jay T. Franklin went down for a attempted murder rap); where he perfected his skills through constantly staying with the pen and a pad. He has said battling is not his thing, its just something I do for the fun of it, I love my pen and a pad, getting lost in my zone, just me, my headphones and my beats.Life on the streets he has left behind to focus on his music.
