That was a fast-restaurant which was located in the downtown area. One day, a young lady held her baby and walked into this restaurant. Looked around, she saw a water fountain with water in the store. So she asked: “hello! Would you like give me a cup of water?” the waitress casted a side—look: “give me a glass.” “But I have no glass now…” she answered. “There is no way.” The waitress answered simply. “Please! My baby is so thirsty. Could I take a cup in your store, and I’ll pay the money for the cup.” The lady begged. “We do not the cup without beverage.” The waitress said with an impatient tone. “But baby cannot drink the beverage, please give a cup of water.” The young lady asked. But this time, the waitress ignored her words and received another guest.
The young lady talked about the thing to her neighbor when she returned home. The neighbor was very upset: “the fast-restaurant is so tart; I will never enter it anymore.” The neighbor was a teacher in middle school. In the second day, she talked to her colleagues about the experience of that young lady. All of the teachers felt that store was too fulsome. When they chatted to their students, they always warned to them: “you had better not to enter to that store.” And the students also told their family do not consume in that store.
The fast-restaurant still opened, but no one knew why the business was became worse and worse. In previous days, the store was full of the people everyday especially the students. But now, we could not see the students anymore. In order to improve the situation, the store took a lot of measures. But it did not work. With the intense competition, the store finally closed door. No one could image that the source of the unlucky ending, because of a cup of water. In modern society, we cannot deny that people are become indifferent more and more. How to improve this situation is need us to think.
