With Christmas just around the corner most people will have normally bought their Christmas presents for their family and loved ones. However there is generally always someone who has got everything and it is very difficult to buy them a present. For that person an item of memorabilia or signed memorabilia could be the perfect solution to your problem. Over the years I have managed to provide gifts for all sorts of occasions, from wedding gifts to a best man (signed football jersey) the Groom (a framed autograph of his favourite golfer.) Even to the Bride and Groom (a Manchester United signed Jersey).
Memorabilia is the most versatile of gifts as everybody has a Football team, a celebrity a movie or a sports autograph they would like to have. I have even supplied an item of memorabilia for a Diamond Wedding anniversary! You know the real great thing about giving an item of memorabilia, whether it’s an autograph or a framed presentation, the fact that it is an item which does not perish, it’s easy to display and it can often accumulate in value over the years makes it the ideal choice for any occasion or celebration.
Having dealt in autographs and signed memorabilia for many years now I have often gave as presents signed movie posters, autographed footballs and many famous autographs to my friends but I must confess I try not to do it too much as they will think I am being stingy using stuff I have collected as opposed to paying for gifts. This does not mean the memorabilia is not valuable, it just means I am not being predictable when it comes to birthdays and Christmas presents.
So if you have friends and you are stuck for a present idea or you would like to buy them something that lasts forever and it’s not a diamond, then you could do a lot worse than buying autographs or memorabilia.
The U.K. is suffering one of its worst winters in years, with all of the country hit for the second time with arctic conditions the couriers and the postal services are struggling to get the Christmas mail delivered, affected by black ice snow drifts and freezing conditions for nearly a month with only a slight reprieve in between the whole distribution network is at a standstill.
I can only hope that the situation gets better along with the weather over the next few days and all the internet shoppers get their goods in time for Christmas. Well let’s look on the positive side at least we will have a White Christmas if not the Christmas presents!
