Amaravati, Ghantasala, NagarjunaKonda and Kolanpaka are famous Buddhist centers that see a good number of tourists round the year.
The other attractions include the following: Sriharikota, the only satellite launching site in India; Horsely Hills, a Hill resort; Belum Caves and Borra Caves, the natural caves; and forts and palaces including Golconda Fort, Falaknuma Palace, Charminar, Chowmahalla Palace and Chandragiri Fort are famous in Andhra Pradesh.
The Golden Beaches in Vishakhapatnam, the arresting Araku Valley, Yarada Beach, RamojiRao Film City, and Lumbini Gardens are other tourist attractions in Andhra Pradesh.
How to Reach
Air: Rajiv Gandhi International airport in Hyderabad is one of the busiest airports in the country plying regular flights to most of the national and international destinations. There are airports in Tirupathi, Rajamundhry, Vishakapatnam and Vijayawada as well.
Rail: There are regular trains that keep Andhra Pradesh well connected with the other major cities in the country. Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Vishakhapatnam and Warangal are some of the busiest railway stations in the country.
Sea: Andhra Pradesh has major ports in Vishakhapatnam and Kakinada and minor ports in Machilipatnam, Krishnapatnam and Nizampatnam.
Road: Andhra is one of the most eminently connected roadways in the country. Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has about 21,000 buses plying to various destinations in and around Andhra.
