According to the different ways of dealing with the materials, the rotary kiln can be classified as the cement kiln, metallurgy and chemical industry kiln and the lime kiln. In terms of the environmental protection, the developed countries in the world use the cement kiln to burn hazardous waste and garbage. This not only makes waste reduction and elimination of harm, but also makes use of waste as fuel. Therefore, it saves coal powder and realizes the comprehensive utilization of resources.
In building materials industry, in addition to the cement clinker forging, the rotary kiln is still used for the clay and limestone roasting and slag drying, etc. In the process of the fire-proof material production, the rotary kilns can roast raw materials to achieve its size stability, strength, and processing molding.
Non-ferrous and black metallurgy such as iron, aluminum, copper, zinc, tin, nickel, tungsten and chromium are processed in the rotary kiln for smelting equipment to sinter and roast ore, concentrate and intermediate and so on.
In the application area of the rotary kiln, the rotary kiln is the largest used equipment in the cement industry. Cement kiln is mainly used for roasting cement clinker. The whole cement production process is summarized as two grindings and a burning. "A burning is to put the raw materials that have been ground and compounded in the rotary kiln. Under the action of high temperature, the raw materials will burn into clinker. Therefore, the rotary kiln is the major equipment in the cement production line. It is commonly known as the heart of the cement factory.
