Beautiful landscape of Almora enclosed by Banari Devi, Kasar Devi, Katarnal and Shayahi Devi makes the land a real paradise on earth. This tourist place located at a height of 1638 m owns a pleasant moderate climate. Rich culture and heritage of this land makes it a top tourist destination of India. It was the ruling seat of Chand dynasty which ruled Kumaon for more than one thousand years. Following is the itinerary of an interesting holiday package to Almora covering some of the popular tourist spots within four days time period.
Day 01: Upon arrival at Pantnagar Airport, representatives from tourism department will transfer you to pre booked hotel in Almora. Dinner and overnight stay will be provided at hotel.
Day 02: After enjoying breakfast from hotel, Almora holiday package will start its journey by exploring Ranikhet. You can reach here by traveling 50 Kms from Almora city. Word 'Ranikhet' literally means queen's field. During ancient times, Ranikhet was a British cantonment. Thick dense forests beholding deodar and pine trees with serene surroundings make the land an ideal destination for relaxation. Ranikhet is situated at an altitude of 6000 feet above sea level and provides viewers a spellbinding view of Himalayas.
Chaubatia beholding fruit orchards, gardens and the Government Fruit Research Centre is one among the prime attractions of Ranikhet. Breathtaking view of Himalayas, Nanda Devi, Nandaghunti, Trishul and Nilkanth peaks from Ranikhet grabs the hearts of visitors. Binsar Mahadev Temple located 19 Kms from Ranikhet is another destination explored in Almora holiday package. This temple located at an altitude of 2480m is also known as Bindeshwar temple. It was built by King Pithu in memory of his father Bindu. After visiting Bindeshwar Temple, tour trip will return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 03: Third day of Almora holiday package will start its journey by visiting Baijnath located on the banks of the Gomti in Garur Valley. It is located 71 Kms from Almora and beholds a rare collection of 12th and 13th century temples. These historic temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, Parvati and Ganesha were built during Katyur dynasty period. After viewing sight scenes of Baijnath, tour trip will now move on to Jageshwar. Jageshwar located in a densely wooded narrow valley beholds a rich collection of historic Shiva Temples. It is situated on the Almora-Pithoragarh road and is one among the 12 jyotir lingas in the country. This religious location of Hindus beholds about 124 temples depicting the craftsmanship of ancient times. In the late evening, tour trip will return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 04: After breakfast, representatives from tourism department will assist you back to Pantnagar Airport for your return journey to home. By here, tour ends and you can go back home with evergreen memories.
