The ceiling height is reduced as the roof is lower but the elevation of the house is increased giving more space under the structure. Roof of Thai houses are of 4 types-Manila, Panyah, Kabranoh, Gabled. There are two primary kinds of designs, Ruan Kruang Pook the tied house and Ruan Kruang Sab the wooden house. Hence his picture is found in almost all houses and on this day they lay a wreath on his statue outside the Royal Plaza in Bangkok.
