Article will guide you about the Middle East city Yemen .You will get to know about the healthcare system and other aspect of the city. As It is essential for expats to explore a region before taking up a job there especially if the place belongs to the Middle East.
The country located on Arabian Peninsula, Yemen is the only state to follow a purely republican form of government. With Saudi Arabia, Red Sea, Arabia Sea, Gulf of Aden and Oman on its peripheries, its capital is Sanaa. The numbers of jobs in Yemen are growing every year in this territory that houses over 200 islands.

Yemen can be divided into four regions in terms of geography- the Western highlands, the Eastern highlands, the coastal plains in the west and the Rub al Khali in the east. Its economy is heavily dependent on oil production and now on natural gas reserves to some extent. Yemen has an extremely high birth rate even higher than modern Persian Gulf Arab states and its population is increasing at an alarming rate. Owing to the huge dearth of skilled professionals in the country, jobs in Yemen are mostly available for expatriates. The talented manpower is, thus, imported from all across the world to help build and develop the economy.

The healthcare system is extremely underdeveloped in Yemen and needs urgent attention. When compared to other Middle Eastern economies, expenditure on health in Yemen is considerably low. Till five years back, there were only 3 doctors and 6 hospital beds available for every 10,000 persons. Rural areas suffer an acute shortage of medical facilities with barely 25% under cover as against 80% in urban areas. Even though life expectancy in Yemen is nearly 65 years according to last year estimates; lot needs to be done to uplift the medical services sector. There are a plethora of healthcare jobs in Yemen open to well qualified and highly experienced expats. Anyone with right set of training and expertise can apply for jobs in Yemen.

It is essential to explore a region before taking up a job there especially if the place belongs to the Middle East. This is because the lifestyle and culture of the Arabic places is much different from rest of the world and might take more time to adjust to. There laws are stricter; code of conduct is conservative; dressing mandates full covering of body and other such things that may be unheard of. Such differences make it extremely imperative to know the region before taking up jobs in Middle East. In this context, let us take a look at some of the religious and demographic composition of Yemen and learn more about the city.

Arabic is the official language in Yemen but the importance of English as a medium of communication is increasing. Almost the entire population belongs to Islam with barely 2 to 3% non-Muslims in the country. It s considered to be a culturally rich country being influenced by various civilizations that ruled it during different times. Among cultural attractions are four World Heritage sites namely:
(a) The old walled city of Shibam nicknamed Manhattan of the Desert;
(b) The ancient old city of Sanaa, a major Islamic center;
(c) The historic town of Zabid, an archaeological & historical site and
(d) Socotra Archipelago, rich in biodiversity.

There are no cinematic records to boast of by the country with just two films released until 2008. On the international front, Yemen is a member of both the United Nations and the Arab League as well as of the Organization of the Islamic Conference. All these insights show how the country is trying to progress toward modernization and reviving out of the dark and decayed world.

Jobs in Yemen will provide not only good salaries like in rest of the Middle East but also a peaceful life. Since there are not many places for recreation, one can be at his own will and mingle with people around.
