Mr. flettner built this revolutionary machine popularly known as flettner rotor vessel . The innovation was called brilliant because the rotors proved very much effective even in bad weather conditions. The inbuilt system of the rotors suddenly came out with a design flaw, within a few years of its innovation. When compared to the traditional engines, the efficiency levels of the rotor vessel proved much weaker. As far as the foldable rotor goes, it was the same German scientist, who first used it in an airship.
