Delhi, the capital of India and one among the cosmopolitan cities holds a number of scenic spots for sightseeing. Jantar Mantar built by the king Raja Sawai Jai Singh is one of the tourist attractions in Delhi. You can see here a wonderful collection of astronomical instruments used for calculating and predicting the movements of celestial bodies. Mishra Yantra, Jai Prakash, Samrat Yantra and Ram Yantra are some of the instruments hold by Jantar Mantar. The name Jantar Mantar comes from Yantra meaning instrument and Mantra meaning formula. Qutab Minar is considered to be the world's tallest brick minaret. Agra, famous for its tombs and memorials is a favorite destination grabbing tourist interest. Agra is the place of location of Taj Mahal, one among the Seven Wonders of the World. This heritage monument symbolizing eternal love was built in pure marble in the year between 1631 and 1653 by Shah Jahen in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal who died in childbirth. Taj Mahal built in Islamic style of architecture is a real epitome of Indian Mughal art. Agra Red Fort is another historic spot well known for tourist attractions. This huge fort built by Emperor Akbar and expanded by Aurangazeb is a composition of mosques, vivid chambers and big halls. Fatehpur Sikhri and Jama Masjid are other sightseeing tourist attractions in Agra.

Now coming to Jaipur or pink city, the capital of Rajasthan with its unique traditional culture grab the hearts of tourists. City palace is one among the beautiful destinations located in Jaipur. It beholds some historic buildings like Badal Mahal, Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal. You can see here a rare collection of Rajasthani dresses, Rajput weapons and swords. Hawa Mahal, an arm of city palace complex assures tourists a fantastic view of the whole city. This five storey building constructed by Rajput Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799 now holds an archaeological museum which attracts thousands of visitors.
