It’s the question on everyone’s lips, especially after watching The Dark Knight Rises: does the masked man refresh himself with a quick dip or by dunking his head under a cold shower? Do you think the Bat cave is more likely to have a full sized, Jacuzzi bath tub or a shower tray set away from all that expensive equipment? Does he even know what shower trays are? Well, here we can explore the facts surrounding the personal hygiene of the caped crusader.
Does He Ever Wash?
One thing we never know from the movies is whether Batman actually ever sets foot in a shower tray. Sure, he gets rained on a hell of a lot but he never actually takes a shower, unlike James Bond (who seems to like nothing more than a shower or a Jacuzzi or anything else, for that matter, so long as an attractive woman is present). Without showering, under that technologically advanced bat-suit, he must really stink. To fight all day long and then to just roll into bed and out again: no wonder the people of Gotham find it hard to really like him.
Surely he has to set foot into some sort of personal hygiene contraption, though. Whether he’s just hosed down every other day by Robin, there must be some level of hygiene, otherwise we’d surely see some evidence of fungus or potatoes growing out of his ears (actually come to think of it, perhaps it’s his lack of personal hygiene that has contributed to that terrible speech problem he’s developed in recent years).
However, Batman has to run around a lot. His job is incredibly demanding and it’s hard enough to take a bath when you have a regular 9-5 job. No, there must be a shower tray hidden away in the Batcave somewhere.
What about Bruce Wayne?
Bruce, on the other hand, is a completely different beast. We even see him in water: taking a bath in the pools with some lovely ladies at a top restaurant. You just can’t imagine a shower tray set up in the corner somewhere in Wayne Manor. The billionaire playboy lives a life of luxury and always looks his best. He surely takes long, relaxing baths in his luxury bathroom suite, therefore: after all, he has all the time he could want during the day and probably needs to relax after his nightly escapades.
So, there we have it. While the likelihood is that Bruce Wayne probably prefers a good long soak in an ornate and expensive bath tub, Batman doesn’t have time for this. Instead, he probably makes use of a shower tray in the depths of the Batcave: it’s convenient and simple. When you’re looking for convenience, the shower is that option, so think about it next time: you’re letting out your inner Batman.
Unlike Batman, you clearly do take a shower. Therefore why not take a look at the great variety of shower trays available online to ensure you get a shower worthy of a superhero.
