If you have been alive long enough, you've probably seen a little bit of everything. So you know that getting someone to notice you isn't very hard. If you get a 1600 on your sats, wear a giant billboard advertising a hot dog stand, or simply scream “Ice Cream Sundays!” at the top of your lungs in a public place, you'll get noticed. Most people stand out. But not everyone.

If you have been alive long enough, you've probably seen a little bit of everything. So you know that getting someone to notice you isn't very hard. If you get a 1600 on your sats, wear a giant billboard advertising a hot dog stand, or simply scream “Ice Cream Sundays!” at the top of your lungs in a public place, you'll get noticed. Most people stand out. But not everyone.
The one group that usually shys away from sticking out in a public place is Christians. The wolves no longer have to dress like sheep. Now the sheep are bringing themselves to the slaughter and dressing like wolves.
Of course, that is understandable. The last time I wore a Jesus t-shirt on the subway, I got quite a few odd looks.
Well guess what – It's time to stand out in the crowd. Jesus didn't hide away from the world and pretend to be just like them. So it's time to get out from under the covers and start getting noticed. Wear your cross necklace proudly when you go to work, put that purity ring on your finger and don't be shy about abstinence, and when someone brings up their life, talk about the life you were given… a life that lasts for eternity.
If Jesus were standing in the room with you, would you be acting differently? Well, that's the idea. It's time to learn that we must walk, talk, and act like a Christian and get noticed following Christ. Don't be ashamed of love, holiness, and dignity. But be careful not to offend anyone through overzealous witnessing. While offending them because you are living a holy life can't be helped, being a jerk is your problem. Being bold for Christ doesn't mean telling a passing group of preschoolers that they're going to hell or acting "better" than everyone else because you're chosen by God and they aren't. If you truly want to get noticed, then behave like Christ.
Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, meekness, grace, mercy, personal sacrifice, and self control were just some of the characteristics He modeled for us. When there was a truth to teach, He would stand out in the crowd and teach it regardless of the consequences. But He is also love. With a simple walk of faith, Jesus changed the world. That's how we should live.
So dust off your Christian t-shirts and embrace the life that Christ has planned for you.. Living our calling is more important than gold, riches, worldwide recognition, friends, and everything else put together. In this we can show our faith, by living like Christ and being unashamed. That'll make you stand out in a crowd. And then the whole world will see Christ.
