Education is a noble line of work, but the new age education has more to do than just chalk and talk. Education at an international school is different from education at indigenous private schools.

Subject information is not the only thing that counts. It is also important to bring in creative inputs and keep track of the latest developments in the subject to deliver the best and the most recent to the students. Education at an international school can be challenging and at the same time very rewarding.

The experience to educate at a CISB schools would be the same as other private training institute may ask of you.

But it is preferable to know at least one foreign language and get a TEFL certificate. This will make you eligible to teach English as a second language that most international schools offer. If you do not have a TEFL certificate, but have other qualification and relevant experience to match, it should suffice. You may also need to be acquainted with different accents of English to help expert students understand better. You may also be required to teach using electronic education aids in class. Be prepared to do that.

There are several perks that you as a teacher and person can get by working at international schools. Firstly, the salary is generally higher than what you get at an indigenous private school. These schools generally have workshops that hone your education skills and help expand your knowledge about the subject. You can be a part of the PTAs or other associations in schools and grow personally as well as help the students. Most importantly, you get to spend time at a splendid campus that is characteristic of all international schools.

I have been working as a math teacher at many CISB schools India for the past 10 years. I have been an active member at the school council and other associations in the school. The experience has been very rewarding and fulfilling.
