Once upon a time there was a very powerful king called Mayadenawa. Mayadenawa was a descendant of Daitya (powerful giant), the son of Dewi Danu. Because of his power, he can turn into many types of creatures and shapes.

This king ruled the area of Makasar, Sumbawa, Bugis, Lombok, and Blambangan. Because of its great power, has become cruel and Mayadenawa snob. In this time of a priest with divine power, called Mpu Kulputih. Mayadenawa did not allow the Balinese to worship the God, and he destroyed all the temples.

Blood Jayantaka led the left wing, while the main peloton led Gandarwa. Bhagavan Narada was sent to investigate Mayadenawa palace. Mayadenawa saw the attack on the troop Bhatara Indra, for he had many spies.

Mayadenawa could not deceive the powerful Bhatara Indra. Mayadenawa transformed itself several times in "buah timbul ',' busung ',' susuh ',' Bidadari" and was eventually transformed into a stone called Kala If Wong. Bhatara Indra he shoots an arrow to his death.

His blood runs down the guard and became a river called Petanu. This river is cursed. If it is used to water the rice fields, rice paddies would grow rapidly, but at harvest blood out of him and bad smell. This cursed will end in 1000 years.
